Fellow Jedi! (or Sith's if you prefer),
So there are now only 57 days until we can start those midnight cinema lines and dress up as our favourite Star Wars characters for the premiere of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens! With all the excitement surrounding the new film, we thought we would just update you on some of the things happening within the fandom at the moment.
First of all we have been gifted a new trailer and I would be lying if I said I didn’t get goosebumps, cry and then watch it about 50 more times (or was it 100?). We start out with some Rey and BB-8 bonding time through the desert when we switch to an army of what looks like a new design of Stormtrooper complete with voice-overs by Finn and Kylo Ren. After a few more seconds of voice-over footage we are treated to a familiar song and a familiar face…I will let you experience the extreme ways of the Force yourself!
In other Star Wars news, and unless you have been living in the depths of the Sarlacc, you would know that the 4th of September it was FORCE FRIDAY (quite a while ago, I know). It was a pretty big deal for Star Wars fans because it was the first time new merchandise has been realised for an new episode in 10 years! There were so many new releases but our absolute favourite is definitely the smartphone controlled BB-8 by Sphero. Your very own droid can move around and express emotion all at the touch of button…pretty neat! Although it will set you back a bit of cash, if your willing to spend around $250, totally go for it!

The new release is definitely drawing on old themes and easter eggs from the previous Star Wars episodes which is sure to be a treat for die hard fans!
